State Committee Meeting

June 10, 2005

Meeting called to order by Muenz at 6:45pm.

-Agenda for Summer Coaches Meeting was discussed

-Proposed dates for State Meets (voting issues)

March 25-26 Level 6-Elite State Championships

April 22-23 Level 4,5 North/South State Championships

-Rules and Policies Updates were discussed

-Age Groups for State Meet

If an age group has less than four athletes entered, the State Chairman has the option combine that age group with the next lower age group.

-Restructuring of State Committee

Executive committee remains the same with three members

Games committee will now be made up of the State Championships meet directors. They will serve a one year term that will begin and end with the Summer Business Meeting. They must attend the meeting at GAT, and have preliminary Meet information to present at that meeting. They must attend the PreSummer Business Meeting to present a wrap-up of the State Championships and make any suggestions for the upcoming year.

State Booker Positions up for reelection. Jeff Dow has expressed interest in keeping the position.

Jerit Pogue will remain GAT awards liason.

Position of GAT Convention Recruiter has been created. Greg Schram will fill this position for this year. He will work with the State Chairman on finding speakers for the GAT Convention.

Position of Secretary will be filled by Jerit Pogue. He will be responsible for keeping minutes at the meetings, and keeping address list current.

Webmaster is Bret Stout. He will keep web site up to date.

-New Business to be voted on

Proposal to change the age groups for the team award at the level 4,5 North/South State Championship to a 6 year old team award and a 7 year old team award.
