Regional Report- Gil Elsass

Age group committee is working on rules for next year. We will have 3 development camps this year. Next year we will only have 2 camps, 8-9 yr level 6’s and 10-11 yr level 7’s. Possible Region 3 Clinic run by Steve Glickly. JO Nationals next year will be in Battle Creek, Michigan. National Scholarship was discussed at the JOPC meeting at JO Nationals and was tabled until September at the State Chairmen’s Summit in Chicago.

Level 4/5 South State Report- Marc Yancey

Meet was very successful. Ran very smoothly and on time. Meet was profitable. 297 Athletes attended.

Level 4/5 North State Report- Bret Stout

Numbers were up from the last year. Ran very smoothly and on time also. 312 Athletes attended.

Level 6-Elite State Report- Tim Erwin

Facility was excellent.

High School Report- JT Fletcher

132 Athletes attended. Meet was held in San Angelo. Used level 9 rules.

Sims Scholarship Report- Jerit Pogue

Two applicants received scholarships this year. Fund has around $60,000 in it. We are working hard to build the funds.

GAT Report- Greg Schram

ITP Boys 1 will be done again. Trying to get new speakers involved.

Level 6-E State Meet- March 29^th-30^th, 2008

Regionals April 11^th-13^th, 2008

Level 4-5 North/South- April 19^th-20^th, 2008

New Business

We will have a coach of the year award for the Level 4/5 North and State meet, and Level 6-Elite State meet, and a judge of the year. Format of voting will be determined. Kathy and Kathy Sue will work on the format to be prepared by GAT.

Coaches will have more input on who is judging the State Meet.

Entry fees for the Level 4-5 North/South State will be $60, Level 6-E State meet will be $70. Gate fee for Level 4-5 will be $6 for adults and $3 for children, for Level 6-E will be $8 for adults and $4 for children.

Coaches would like to see more meets run modified capital cup for lower levels.
